Introduction
Text Fiction lets players enjoy classic interactive fiction on Android by running Z‑Machine text adventures in a compact, message-style interface. It interprets Z3, Z5 and Z8 files so players can load and play a wide range of story-driven games, with gameplay focused on reading, typing commands and choosing text-based actions. The app mimics an SMS conversation and provides quick-access buttons for common verbs, plus the option to select text on the page to turn it into an action. Savegames are stored on the device SD card and many games can be downloaded directly from within the app.
