KhunLook
Version:5.2.0
Published:2026-08-15
Introduction
KhunLook is a comprehensive child health companion app that helps parents monitor growth, developmental milestones, immunizations and medical records in a single, easy-to-use interface. Designed to follow official Thai health guidelines, KhunLook lets caregivers log height and weight, track age-appropriate milestones, follow recommended vaccination schedules, and set reminders for appointments. The app also acts as a digital memory book where parents can store health entries alongside photos and notes. For busy families who want organized, evidence-based tools to manage a child's health from infancy through adolescence, KhunLook offers a practical, research-backed solution.
Key Features
⭐ Growth monitoring with official growth charts developed by Thailand's Department of Health and Ministry of Public Health, integrated into KhunLook for accurate tracking.
⭐ Developmental milestone tracking for children aged 0–6 years based on standards from the Royal College of Pediatricians and pediatric specialists.
⭐ Immunization schedules and guidance for children aged 0–12 years following recommendations from the Royal College of Pediatricians of Thailand.
⭐ Oral health advice and preventive guidance from pediatric dentists to support daily dental hygiene and care.
⭐ Appointment and reminder management for vaccinations, routine check-ups, and other health visits to help families stay on schedule.
⭐ A secure memory-keeping feature that stores health records, notes and photos to build a chronological health journal.
Advantages
✅ Doctor-approved recommendations covering children from birth to adolescence (up to 19 years) to support clinical and home care decisions.
✅ Content aligned with official Thai health institutions and protected by copyright from respected organizations, ensuring reliable guidance.
✅ Free to use, lowering barriers for families who want structured, evidence-based child health tools.
✅ Developed and validated through academic research, with support from national health research organizations and pediatric experts.
Disadvantages
❎ Several guidance elements are based on Thai national standards and may be localized to that context rather than universal protocols.
❎ Developmental tracking covers ages 0–6 years and immunization guidance covers ages 0–12 years, so some features are limited by age range.
❎ Certain guideline materials are copyrighted by contributing institutions, which may limit redistribution or reuse of the content outside the app.
Development Team
The KhunLook project was led by Assistant Professor Rosawan Areemit, M.D. (Khon Kaen University) and Kunwadee Sripanidkulchai, Ph.D. (Chulalongkorn University) with research teams from both universities. Funding and support came from the Health Systems Research Institute, the National Research Council of Thailand and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and the app's content was developed in collaboration with pediatricians and pediatric dentists to meet scientific standards.
