Purchased a 4 camera set up mainly for remote monitoring of machinery that runs 'lights out' at work. The box is a total nightmare to set up. A mass of acronyms and confusing technical terminology. Very fussy to navigate around but once running it does its job of recording ok. My big issue is that at least 50% of the time the phone app won't connect to the cameras remotely saying 'video playing failed', and that's the main reason I purchased it.

I used to rate this at 2 stars, now it is 1. Constant connection issues, streaming quality is subpar, app force restarts with an error every so often despite appearing to function absolutely fine, and worst of all; absolutely NO local accessibility What. So. F**king. Ever. REQUIRES an active internet connection even if your device and NVR/DVR and/or cameras are on the exact same network, which in my eyes suggests that Annke is both disgustingly invasive and incapable of utilising common sense.

Sometimes when recording video from playback function the recording will skip the first part of your recording. It seems to only begin from certain points. I believe it may be related to the file segments as they are stored by the NVR. Where you try to save a video segment that spans 2 system file segments. It is also no possible to use playback function until system has finished writing out a full video block to disk..this is annoying when you need to quickly playback a recent event

I purchased this Annke system to replace an older LaView camera system. The wiring was in place, so it was a quick swap of failing cameras and DVR system. Connectivity is much quicker, usually within 6 seconds after starting the app on both tablet and phone. If the app is running in the background, it takes 2-3 seconds to refresh to live view. I am running 8 cameras and discovered that by saving a set of 2 with 4 cameras each in the favorites, they load easily every time I open the app. Without having them saved in the favorites, I found it frustrating to have to reopen each camera individually when the app opened. Although I have not been able to save all 8 cameras at one time in the favorites, I can easily toggle between the 2 sets as needed. A great feature is that playback works flawlessly and multiple cameras can be viewed at one time during playback. Rarely have I experienced any loading issues over home wifi or mobile network, but a quick restart of the app solved the problem. Sharing cameras on different email addresses works well so additional devices can be used at the same location.

Had used ZOSI for 2 yrs at one location. And Annke Vision for 1½ year at another location. ZOSI crashed monthly on average. Had DVR exchanged under their "warranty" twice, but the problem persisted.... Decided last February to replace Zosi with an Annke DVR, and not once has it gone offline, hung, or crashed. What convinced me Annke is Best is that the one been using for 2½ now, has NEVER FAILED through storms, power failure, maintenance, hot days, replays and recordings.. STILL GOING...!

Need a way to download videos in bulk or at least sections. This is not available in app or desktop version. Having to manually record any times needed for archive is not a viable option. Also, there is no option to watch at faster than real-life speed on app or desktop. Add these essential features, and I'll change my score. If not, I will eventually have to buy a new system and will not purchase Annke ever again due to these limitations. I HAVE ALREADY REACHED OUT TO TECH SUPPORT DIRECTLY.
