Can't even try the app out to see if it functions without a pay wall. The tutorial bases your voice type off of a single sentence and nothing further. When doing the tutorial for pitch it doesn't even matter if you sing anything. Definitely not beginner friendly as it expects you to adjust the settings, but a beginner wouldn't know what to adjust for. Your better off downloading a free karaoke app then this.

The scoring system is far too forgiving. Easy to get 100% even while intentionally making mistakes. The app is also absolutely 100% useless without a suscription. I was expecting a limited library, or a daily limit. But no, each and every song is gated behind the suscription, and there's no free trial, so I can't even check it out.

Disappointed. I was really excited about this at first. I would like to learn how to sing with the new range I have acquired after the birth of my child changed my Vocal range. But after doing the beginning set up once I got to songs.I had to pay for full access to sing anything... I wish that had been disclosed up front.Because I don't have the money to pay for something.I thought there would be some free song options but apparently not.

Good concept, but it doesn't "hear" me singing half the time. Even if I have the phone right by my face, unless I'm practically screaming, it doesn't register as hearing me at all. And I don't control my voice well when I scream lol! Also, after finishing the free tutorial, you have to pay monthly or yearly to sing along to any of the library songs you unlock.

After seeing an ad for Simply Sing online, I was excited to give it a shot. Each step in the beginning tutorial was great and I "unlocked" the song library had some of my favorite songs. Then I realized it was all for nothing because in order to "unlock" any songs, you have to upgrade to Pro. Every single song is locked. EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. I had to edit my 5 star rating that I submitted before realizing it's all locked. EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. I told others not to waste their time.

So far it's fun to try and see how close my rendition of a song is. When I do the voice test I come up as an alto but I know my vocal range is actually far broader then that. I think the system should have you sing a whole song to give you your range, or have an auto sync. I can be as low as chris staplton but also hit some of celine dion's nhigher notes. If I want to tighten up just one vocal range I can see using this but again self adjusting the levels is not that simple.
